Lee Downer
Lee's natural love of fitness began in the early 80's when Lee learned the fine art of coaching competitive bodybuilders and weightlifting champions from his coach Ron Eland, 1948 Olympic Weight Lifter. Lee was a personal trainer decades before the field was in vogue.
His philosophy in fitness has always been safety and gentle exercise designed to yield effective results which has led him to focus on yoga.
In 1990 Lee began studying yoga and became a YMCA Certified Yoga teacher. He then created and taught a yoga program for the North York YMCA which is still taught there today.
Lee became a strong leader for the Y and taught several other YMCA fitness programs, such as Y's Way to a Healthy Back, Run-Fit, Muscle-Works, Walk-Fit, and a Youth Weight Training Program.
Lee's appreciation of physical fitness and how the benefits of yoga can improve ones lifestyle has lead him to the creation of "CorYoga". CorYoga has become very popular with a broad demographic of yoga students looking to increase not only their level of fitness but also to take advantage of the endless benefits of yoga.
